The Mill family is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of a stalwart member, Erica Lester on Tuesday.

Erica was a leading light of the Mill for nearly 60 years.
Her contribution to Trust activities was immense, including her long service as Secretary to the Trustees. She was also instrumental in establishing our Youth Summer School in the early 2000s, helping to shape opportunities for young people that continue to this day.
She also appeared in countless productions performing on the stage in shows such as Finian’s Rainbow, Half a Sixpence, Carousel, Fiddler On The Roof, Charlie Girl, Camelot and Guys and Dolls, at the Ritz in Rushden and then Salad Days, Oh What A Lovely War, Salad Days, Lark Rise to Candleford, Anything Goes and Anne of Green Gables, at The Mill.
She created our newsletter and sent out many updates over the years in The Grist and also arranged group booking for the Colworth Pensioners.
We say goodbye to a dedicated, long‑serving member whose commitment and voluntary work was instrumental in building the Mill’s reputation.
Our thoughts are with her daughter Zoe and husband Peter, as we remember and honour her legacy.
