Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is being directed by Lester Cooke (who previously directed The Mill’s Avenue Q). This Tony Award-winning play is full of mischief and comedy, just as Chekhov never intended! The 2013 Best Play winner at the Tony Awards comes to Sharnbrook. Three siblings discuss their lives and loves, in between arguments, whilst trying to persuade a visitor to keep his clothes on in this critically-acclaimed, but slightly mad comedy based on the classical themes of Chekhov.
We are currently looking for an actor to play the (extraordinarily funny, and very silly) role of Spike!
Character description – Spike
20’s to early 30’s, male
An aspiring actor. Sexy, spontaneous, self absorbed. Makes the most of what he’s been given, and knows the effect it has on those around him, and how to get what he wants. Has a youthful charm and an innocent wit. Masha’s new devoted companion… for now!
If you are interested, or if you know of anyone who fits the profile who is a budding or experienced actor, please get in touch with info@sharnbrookmilltheatre.co.uk with your information and we will get in touch with you.
